Welcome to the enchanting world of Jane Austen at our delightful Tea! Immerse yourself in the elegant Regency era as we pay tribute to the beloved English novelist, Jane Austen. This enchanting gathering brings together Austen enthusiasts, literary aficionados, and admirers of the refined social customs of the early 19th century. As you step into the gardens, you'll be transported back in time to Austen's novels. The setting exudes an air of sophistication and grace, with period-inspired decor, floral arrangements, and delicate lace embellishments adorning every corner.
The centerpiece of the event is, of course, the tea. Delicate china teacups and saucers are elegantly arranged on long tables, accompanied by an array of aromatic teas, both traditional and modern blends. Expert tea sommeliers guide guests through the art of brewing and tasting, ensuring that each cup is a flavorful experience.
Jane Austen Garden Tea will be served at the Corner Connection's Flora Terrace (119 E. Washington St, Charles Town, WV) on July 16 to celebrate the life of famed author, Jane Austen. Three seating times of 10 AM, 12 PM, and 2 PM (each seating is 90 minutes) are provided for each date.
Space is limited as the terrace gardens only seat 10 max. Walk ins welcome but no guarantee of space if all seats are reserved. Reservations recommended.
$38 per person includes tax (gratuity not included), cancellations are not refunded, however, we will credit you a future reservation for any of the dates and times listed in this series.
Proper Afternoon Teas includes the following menu: One bottomless pot of tea per person, three savories/sandwiches, scones, jam, clotted cream, sweets.
Due to space limitations, highchairs are not available and strollers will not be allowed at this event.
